Here is my artwitch (i think i just created that word.) On my channel i draw or sculpt and if i ever get any viewers i can even answer questions and or take tips on how to do it better lol. This video is where i take you from a ball to a person. Just a easy way to create a figure and have fun.

WIP brawler character i created.

This is meant to be a poster i am going to hang up in my studio. I was working on it one day and started getting really into it with sub levels of skin and liver spots and thought this would be great hanging on my wall. hope you enjoy the progress so far. Also the black on the bottom is because transferring it on a usb stick the file got corrupted. so it basically deleted half my work but i can re do that easy.

digital painting trying to match colors to values of grey.

Saturday, October 25, 2014

So i have a 3D printed sculpture on the way it was only 11 dollars and some change and will be here about Nov 7th. i used shapeways.com it was fairly easy except for the price range change. at one inch i was at 5 bucks for the print. At 4 inches i was up to 200 dollars. So anything bigger then a charm is still pretty expensive. But the process is done and i will show you the results that i get for my 11 dollars.
Quick morning sculpt before i head out this morning.

3D Printing

I am currently going thru the steps of 3D printing and will soon be posting a step by step of how it went, what i did, who i used etc.

The great thing about this model is i can pull quick realistic lighting for a drawing i already have made up a pose for. or i can get an idea of what a pose will look like from many different camera angles quickly eliminating the boring ones. i suggest you get a model like this to have in your arsenal.

Dont under estimate the dollar store i got this figure for a buck. He moves at all joints swivels at the head and even points his toes. Plus he looks way cooler then a block of wood!

This one is pretty much done will need to do some fine touch ups veins, a-symmetry  etc etc ..
but the main sculpt is done. ill add in again some of the earlier sculpts at the end so you can see how far it came.

Warm up no photo reference which you should always use but i was just warming up and doing a grey scale for fun. if you noticed i have been including my blending of colors that i us in the drawing to show how i change my values with the eye dropper. it comes in more use for color pieces.
